In addition to the general course welcome message below, we also wanted to share some brief teasers to give you an idea of what you’ll be learning in each of the sixteen modules. We’re starting with Great Sound because that’s what we’ve been thinking about a lot lately, with the mic/setup tests we’ve also been doing. Hi there! If you’ve looked at the course description, you saw that audio tutorials and reflections are key elements. These aren’t just about teaching style, but also about the first question for any audio experience: do I like listening to this person?

In this conversation, Laura and I were testing out the “behind the scenes” format — with a real hot-button issue: collaborative scriptwriting with your spouse! (But since we also released this as a Shelter in Place episode, we also did our usual level of audio editing and sound design.
